We’re excited to officially launch the Minimum Viable Product (MVP) of the new Documents Module for SiteMax!

An MVP—meaning the core functionality is ready and in your hands, and we’re continuing to build toward a more robust, standardized experience.

This new module is available to all SiteMax clients and can be activated with a quick and seamless migration guided by our team. Get ready to elevate your file management experience!

What Can You Expect?

We’re rolling out a brand-new interface packed with new features to make managing your files in SiteMax faster, easier, and more powerful than ever.

  • File and Folder Sharing Options
    Share entire folders or individual files via email or text—directly from the Documents module.

  • Smart Search & Filters
    Quickly find exactly what you need using advanced search and filtering tools.

  • Granular Access Control
    New access levels give you more control over who can view, edit, or manage files.

  • File Versioning
    Stay on top of changes with version tracking—ideal for contracts, drawings, and compliance docs.

  • Activity History
    View detailed upload and edit history so you always know who did what, and when.

  • File Recovery
    Accidentally delete something? No problem—deleted files are sent to a Trash bin for easy recovery.

  • Drag-and-Drop Uploads
    Easily upload folders and files by dragging them into your Project or Company Documents.

  • Mobile Access for Field Teams
    Access, manage, and share documents right from the field using the enhanced mobile experience.

Once you make the switch, the existing Documents module interface will be replaced with the new file management interface. Selecting the Documents module will then take users directly to the updated web and mobile experiences.

What’s Coming Next?

This is just the beginning! The new File Management system will soon become available to all users and will replace the Documents module at the project and company levels.

We’re working on integrations with your favorite cloud storage platforms—Google Drive, OneDrive, and Dropbox. Plus, we’re building automatic backups for key modules like Submittals, RFIs, and Form PDFs. Soon, all your project and company documents will live in one place—easily shareable and always accessible. This capability will ensure that critical project files across different modules—whether from inspections, reports, drawings, or submittals—are automatically backed up and securely stored within our new platform.
