SiteMax is excited to introduce our new application interface, which will soon replace the current model. We believe Site Control will be a game-changer for our clients and users, transforming into the central hub for site operations and technology. With its advanced capabilities, Site Control will redefine construction project management, providing construction companies with a unified platform to access all company data.

Site Control will introduce an advanced File Management system, providing an alternative to platforms like OneDrive, Google Drive, or Dropbox. We’re also launching a new Schedule module with Gantt, calendar, and board views, giving a complete company overview of projects and enabling efficient project schedule management. In addition, our new Dashboard module will offer powerful reporting capabilities with customizable widgets and report-building features.

Additionally, we’re introducing advanced Drawing Control capabilities, which will leverage new technology advancements, ensure robust version control, and seamlessly integrate with all Site Control modules.

SiteMax will be launching Site Control through staged releases (Beta, MVP, and Global releases), as detailed in our roadmap.

What is the difference between a Beta launch, MVP release, and Global Availability?

The Beta launch will be used to test Site Control with a select group of clients before it is fully released. It will help us gain feedback, identify bugs, and make improvements. We are allowing you to learn and try the new interface with us.

The MVP (Minimum Viable Product) release provides the core features needed to address the primary needs of users. For this release, we will include clients who are early adopters and have an expressed need for Site Control features.

Global Availability is the full public release of a product when it is ready for widespread use and fully supported. We will make a formal announcement to all users before and when each Site Control module is globally available.

Dashboard & Widgets Beta Launch

November 2024

What to expect? | Dashboard & Widgets

Site Control offers a dynamic Dashboard designed as a central hub for insights and data visualization, customized to meet each company’s unique needs. The Dashboard will include customizable widgets for every module we develop, enabling users to access real-time insights into various aspects of their business.

During the Beta launch, we’ll introduce six widgets focused on reporting for Equipment, User Records, RFIs, POs, Projects, and Safety Reports.

Soon, you will be able to create custom widgets including data filtering, custom charts, and personalized dashboards for user-specific views. You’ll gain instant access to data from all modules, across all projects and users, providing high-level overviews and valuable insights.

Imagine the range of Widgets that can be created to help you visualize and uncover insights into your projects, compliance data, and more!

Schedule Items, Timeline, and Calendar Beta Launch

November 2024

What to expect? | Schedule Items, Timeline, and Calendar

We are introducing the concept of Scheduled Items, which include both Phases and Work Items. With Scheduled Items, you will be able to create a project timeline and monitor the real-time progress of project tasks using a Gnatt chart view.

Initially, we will introduce the Master Schedule timeline, offering a high-level overview of all active project schedules, with a focus on project Phases and Work Items that contribute to the overall project timeline. SiteMax users will also be included as resources within your Scheduled Items. They will be able to update tasks, report their progress, and log hours for each task, ensuring contributions to the overall project timeline and helping to keep everything on track.

Users can access the Master Schedule through both the Timeline and Calendar views. The Timeline view provides a high-level overview of Project Phases, Work Items, and Tasks, giving a clear picture of all projects. This is especially useful for project owners, senior management, and stakeholders who need to understand the overall timelines of active projects.

The Timeline and Calendar views offer flexible options for viewing project Work Items on daily, weekly, or monthly schedules. These views are ideal for project managers and site supervisors who depend on the project schedule to coordinate and track daily activities.

For team members, the List and Board views will simplify the management of assigned tasks. The List view organizes tasks by date, while the Board view offers an intuitive way to track task progress from start to completion. Alongside the Calendar view, these new tools will make task management easier than ever for your team and tradespeople.

File Management Global Availability

January 2024

What to expect? | Site Control File Management

Site Control's File Management system will become available to all users on this set date. Site Control will replace the Documents module at both the project and company levels. Clicking on the Documents module will now direct users to the Site Control web and mobile interfaces.

Backup PDFs and Images from SiteMax modules to seamlessly store, manage, and access all documents and media in a centralized location. This capability will ensure that critical project files across different modules—whether from inspections, reports, drawings, or submittals—are automatically backed up and securely stored within Site Control’s platform.

Dashboard & Widgets MVP Release

January 2024

What to expect? | Dashboard & Widgets

In this release, Dashboard widgets will become available for all Modules. Widgets will include key reporting such as Users, Equipment, Materials, and overall Project activity, giving users an overview of crucial project data. Additionally, each Power Module will feature its own dedicated widget, offering data and insights for RFIs, COs, POs, Submittals, Punch List, and Siteflow.

Project-level dashboards will be available, offering specific reporting for individual projects. Instead of seeing all data aggregated at the company level, users will get detailed insights for each project. These dashboards will highlight key metrics, making it easier to manage and track projects separately. This improved visibility will help project managers and stakeholders make better, real-time decisions for each project.

Schedule Items, Timeline, and Calendar MVP Release

January 2024

What to expect? | Schedule Items, Timeline, and Calendar

At the individual project level, we will introduce a Project Schedule timeline that breaks down each project's timeline into Phases and Work Items.

By the end of this release, you’ll have the ability to create and configure Work Item types, task types, statuses, and custom fields. This means you can tailor your Work Items with specific types of scheduled work, such as trade-specific categories (“Roofing,” “Mechanical,” etc.). Additionally, you’ll be able to customize statuses to configure scheduled items or adjust the board view.

You will also be able to allocate Equipment and Material resources to each Phase and Work Item, enabling more precise reporting and better resource management throughout the project.

In this release, we will also launch the List and Calendar views within the Mobile interface, giving your workers visibility into their assigned tasks and enabling them to contribute to Work Items. The Calendar and Tasks modules will be replaced with the new List and Calendar views for improved task management and scheduling.

Drawing Control MVP Release

January 2024

What to expect? | Site Control Drawing Control

We are launching new features and enhanced functionality for Drawing Control within Site Control. Some of our Site Control Drawing features include:

  • Upload Sets and Revisions: Users can upload multi-page documents that will appear as a single file with multiple pages when viewed.

  • Automatic Ordering: The drawings will be ordered according to the file’s original page sequence, regardless of the page names.

  • Resolving Version Conflicts: If a newly uploaded drawing shares the same page number and date as an existing one, a Version Conflict occurs, prompting the user to confirm versioning.

  • Version History: A history of all drawing versions will be maintained.

  • Mark-ups: The Drawings Mark-up Toolbar provides tools for annotating and marking up drawings.

  • Pins: In SiteMax, you can link various project elements, such as RFIs, tasks, punch items, change orders, and attachments within the drawings module.

  • Tags: Tags can be added to drawings to categorize and organize them for easier management.

  • Export and Sharing: You can easily integrate Drawings with Site Control’s Document module, allowing for efficient sharing and storage management.

  • Mobile Offline: Offline functionality will be introduced to the mobile app, allowing you to view and upload documents and drawings without an internet connection.

  • Work Item Integration: Project Drawings can seamlessly integrate with Work Items, ensuring that your team has all the necessary resources to meet project deadlines.
