Permissions

Always remember to ensure the correct people have the appropriate permissions to access your company and project data. This can be done per individual or by applying Permission Templates.

In order to provide consent for allowing Geotracking on your mobile device, users must have permissions granted for Mobile Access

Geotracking is a way for Managers and Foremen to keep track of their team and ensure employees are where they're supposed to be.

Note; Geotracking is an additional module, and must be enabled for your instance. Please reach out to your CSM for more details

Once you have added your team members to your custom Geotracking Group, they will be asked to provide consent for tracking on their mobile device.

Starting Geotracking

  1. After logging in, you will see a message requesting acceptance for a Geotracking Agreement

  2. Click on the message and you will be asked to accept the tracking for your mobile device - It will also show the Tracking Schedule (the hours that geotracking will be active)

  3. Click "Accept" to set Geotracking live

  4. Once accepted, you will see a blue notice at the bottom of your screen indicating Geotracking is active

Once the Geotracking is inactive (outside of set hours), the blue message will disappear.

Revoking Geotracking Consent

At any time, users can revoke their consent to sharing their Geolocation.

  1. Click the blue "Active" button at the bottom of your page

  2. A new window will open allowing them to revoke their consent to Geotracking

  3. Click on "Revoke tracking consent"

  4. A message will appear asking you to confirm, click "Revoke"

Note; Geotracking will only be active when users are logged into their SiteMax account. Once logged out, tracking locations will not be available.
