How to add new projects in SiteMax individually or in bulk

Permissions

Always remember to ensure the correct people have the appropriate permissions to access your company and project data. This can be done per individual or by applying Permission Templates.

In order to add new projects, users will need Create permissions for Projects


2 ways to add new projects

1. Individual Addition

To add a single project, follow these steps:

  1. From the Dashboard, click 'Add New Project.'

  2. Fill out all the required fields.

  3. Enter the project's postal code and click 'Show on Map' to generate the latitude and longitude coordinates.

  4. Add the Users you would like to assign to the project


2. Bulk Addition

Dashboard > Settings > List Tabs > Import/Export Data


For adding multiple projects at once, follow these steps:

  1. From the Dashboard, go to "Settings"

  2. Tab over to "Lists" tab

  3. Click the "Import/Export" tab

  4. Then scroll down to find the "Import Projects"section.

  5. Download the import template by clicking on the "sample CSV file"

Important: To ensure proper formatting of the import file, use the sample CSV file that SiteMax has provided.

Once you have properly formatted your data in the sample CSV file, you can proceed to import it into SiteMax. To do this:

Importing in SiteMax: click on "Browse" and select the file you want to import, then click on the "Import" button.
