When you come across a project QR code posted on a site and need to fill out a form or access project notices as an external user, SiteMax provides a seamless process through its QR code scanning feature. This guide will walk you through the steps to scan a project QR code using your mobile device and access the necessary information or forms.
Scanning a Project QR Code on Mobile
1. Open your phone's camera:
Unlock your mobile device and open the default camera application.
Position your phone's camera so that the QR code is within the frame. Ensure that you do not take a photo; the camera should be in scanning mode.
2. Wait for the link to appear:
As you hover the camera over the QR code, wait for the link associated with the QR code to appear on your screen.
Once the link is visible, tap on it to open it in your device's web browser.
3. Entering a Phone Number in the QR Portal:
Upon accessing SiteMax.cloud through the QR code link, you will be directed to the QR portal.
Enter the phone number that is linked to your user profile in the provided field.
Note: If you have not been set up as an external user in SiteMax, you can scan a QR code to request access.
4. Confirmation Text and Code Entry:
After entering your phone number, a confirmation text will be sent to that number.
Check your messages and save the code provided in the confirmation text.
Return to the QR portal and enter the code in the designated field to gain access to the project's notices and information.
Important: Before accessing the SiteMax portal, it is necessary to include the phone number for any contact or user who already has their email registered in SiteMax. Failure to do so will result in their inability to access the portal.
5. Accessing Project Notices:
Once the code has been confirmed, you will be granted access to the project's notices
On the greeting screen of the QR portal, you will find any available Project Notices related to the scanned QR code.
