In order to manage Equipment, users will need Manage permissions for Equipment

The Equipment Status feature in SiteMax allows you to effectively manage and communicate the condition and availability of your equipment. By assigning appropriate statuses to your equipment items, you can easily track their condition, organize missing or damaged tools, and hide items that are out of service.

To update the equipment status, you have to edit it in "Equipment Detail".

  1. From the Dashboard, navigate to the Equipment section in the navigation menu.

  2. Click on the ID of the equipment item you want to manage, which will open the "Equipment Detail" view.

  3. In the "Equipment Detail" view, you will find options to mark the equipment with a specific status.

Note: Common status options include Excellent, Good, Fair, Poor, Missing, and Damaged. If you want to indicate that an equipment item is no longer in service or needs to be removed from the general tool list, mark it as "Out of Service" (this is also how you would delete an item if, for example, it was created by mistake).

  4. Choose the appropriate status that reflects the current condition or availability of the equipment.

It's recommended to regularly update the equipment status in SiteMax to maintain accurate records and ensure smooth operations.
