Troubleshooting Guide: Not Receiving SiteMax Notifications

Issue: I am not getting any notifications from SiteMax

Written by Josan Garcia

If you're experiencing difficulties receiving notifications from SiteMax on your email, there are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue. Follow the instructions below to resolve the problem:

  1. Check your Spam/Junk folder in your email. Sometimes, legitimate emails can end up in the junk or spam folder. These folders have strong filtering mechanisms to prevent unwanted messages, but occasionally they can be a bit overzealous. Open your junk or spam mailbox and search for emails from SiteMax. If you find any, mark them as "Not Junk" or move them to your inbox.

2. *Confirm Email Distribution and reach out to our support team at SiteMax to verify if any issues have occurred with email delivery. We can check if there have been any failed attempts to send notifications to your address.

*Don't forget you can always view history in a lot of distributable items. For example, if you have not received an email notification for a Site or Safety report, click on "View History" in the dropdown actions to the far right of the form.

There, you will see the history of the form, and whether it's been distributed and to whom.

3. Check with your IT department. In some cases, your IT provider may have implemented strict email filters that could prevent SiteMax notifications from reaching your inbox. Ask your IT department or email administrator if they have whitelisted "@sitemax.cloud" in your email system. If they have, ask them if it has been masked with another domain or email address. Whitelisting the SiteMax domain will ensure that emails from SiteMax are not mistakenly blocked or filtered.
