Adding Multi Day Tasks in a Project

Permissions

Always remember to ensure the correct people have the appropriate permissions to access your company and project data. This can be done per individual or by applying Permission Templates.

In order to create a Task list and add & complete Tasks, users will need Create permissions for Tasks


SiteMax Systems offers a user-friendly way to stay organized and on top of your tasks. By adding scheduled tasks to your project, you can easily keep track of progress and ensure timely completion. Let's go through the simple steps to get started:

1. Creating a List

To get started, head over to the SiteMax dashboard and select the project you want to work on. On the sidebar menu, find the "Tasks" module and click on it. Once you're in the Tasks section, look for the "Add List" button and give your list a descriptive title. You can also choose a color for easy identification. After filling in the necessary details, hit the "Save" button.

2. Adding Tasks

With your list created, it's time to populate it with tasks. Navigate to the list you just made and locate the "+ Add task" section. Here, you can input multiple tasks for your project.

3. Setting Up Each Task

After entering all the tasks, it's essential to set them up properly. Click on each task to access the task details page. Here, you can provide specific information, such as:

  • Assignees: Assign the task to the relevant team member responsible for its completion.

  • Start and End Date: Set the task's start and end dates to establish its timeframe.

  • Start and End Time: For tasks requiring more precise timing, specify the start and end times.

  • Reminders: If needed, configure reminders to ensure no task is overlooked.

  • Subtasks: Break down complex tasks into smaller subtasks for better organization.

  • Description: Add a clear and concise description to provide context and guidance.

  • Files/Images: Attach any necessary files or images related to the task.

Remember, all this information helps ensures everyone is on the same page. Once you've filled in the necessary details, hit the "Save" button to record the changes.

4. Completing a Task

As tasks are completed or fulfilled, it's essential to update their status. To do this, open the specific task in the list and look for the "Complete" checkbox. Once you've checked it, click the "Save" button to apply the changes.
