We understand that having a reliable internet connection is not always possible, so we have added an offline sync feature for our Punch List tool. This feature allows you to continue using Punch List without an internet connection!
Creating Offline Punch Items
To use offline sync, follow these steps:
Navigate to Project > Punch List
Click on the three-dot action button
Click on +Add Punch Item
Select +Add New Punch Item
Take a Photo
Fill out the open fields
Click Save when complete
Note: Not all fields can be added when creating an offline Punch Item. Every Punch Item requires a Phase to be selected and a Phase must be filled out when back online.
When completed, the Punch Items will appear in the Punch Item Queue. This will automatically sync all of your data to your device, allowing you to access it even when you are offline.
Punch Item Queue
Once you have an internet connection again, all of your changes will be automatically synced. This ensures that your data is always up-to-date and accessible from any device.
To sync your offline Punch Items:
Ensure you are connected to a stable Wi-Fi network
Navigate to Project > Punch List > Punch Item Queue
Click on the Punch Item
Select View or Modify Item
Add a Phase to the Punch Item
Complete all required fields
Select Save when complete
Click on the Punch Item
Select Sync This Item
Punch Items that have successfully synced will now appear in the Punch List.
Sync Multiple Punch Items
Sync multiple or all Punch Items in the Queue at once. Remember, every Punch Item requires a Phase to be selected and a Phase must be filled out when back online.
To do this, simply:
Ensure you are connected to a stable Wi-Fi network
Navigate to Project > Punch List > Punch Item Queue
Click on the three-dot action button
Select the Sync Punch Items option
Select Sync all Punch Item
Bulk Edit Punch Items
Make syncing offline Punch Items easier by using the Bulk Edit function. Change the Status, Priority, or Type for multiple Punch Items in one action.
To bulk edit Punch Items:
Ensure you are connected to a stable Wi-Fi network
Navigate to Project > Punch List > Punch Item Queue
Click on the three-dot action button
Select the Bulk Edit Punch Items option
Select Punch Items you would like to edit
Click Edit
Update the Status, Priority, or Type for selected Punch Items
Select Save to complete
Please note that while offline, you will not be able to access any new project updates or changes made by other users. However, once you are back online, all of these updates will be synced to your device.
