Question:
Can I reset a user's password?
Answer: While, for privacy reasons, we recommend a user utilize the "Forgot Password?" option in the login screen, you can manually reset a user's password from the web.
To reset a user's password:
Go into the Team module from the main Dashboard and select the Users tab.
Click on the 3 dots at the end of the user's info bar and select "Reset User Password"
Enter a new password in the field provided or click "Generate" to allow SiteMax to generate a new password for you. Click "Change Password" to save. Be sure to copy the new password before saving.
You can now share the new password with your user. Recommend that they update their password for privacy.
Remember that there are several ways to set passwords, and it's best when the user creates their own. Check out our articles on creating passwords.
