Create and edit materials. Add materials. Update and delete materials.

Permissions

Always remember to ensure the correct people have the appropriate permissions to access your company and project materials. This can be done per individual or by applying Permission Templates.

In order to Add Materials, users will need Create permissions for Materials


Adding Materials

  1. From the Dashboard, go to "Materials" module.

  2. In the Materials module, click on "+ Add Item" and fill in the item information.

General Information (Required*)

  • Item Name*: Name of Item

  • Unit of Measure*: Unit item will be measured by

  • Value (optional): Cost per item

  • Quantity (optional): Number of items being added

  • QR Item Code (optional): Link a QR code to an item through a QR number; for inquiries or requests on QR codes, please reach out to your designated CSM or to our support team

  • Cost Codes (optional): Select from your cost-code list

  • Classification (optional): Add Classification from the drop-down (classification needs to be set through time settings)

  • Tags (optional): Used to group items

  • Description: Provide a description of your material

  • Attachments: Add photos or spec drawings of your materials

Once you have filled in the necessary fields, click "Save" to continue. Your items will now be available in the materials list.


Editing Materials

When editing materials, click on the name of the material you wish to edit. The "Edit Item" page will pop up, which will allow you to edit all fields on this page.

  • Click "Update" to save changes

  • Click "Close" to cancel the changes you have made

  • Click "Delete" to remove the item from the materials list
