Using signature in forms. Setting up timestamps for signatures.

Permissions

Always remember to ensure the correct people have the appropriate permissions to access your company and project data. This can be done per individual or by applying Permission Templates.

In order to access Form Builder, users will need Edit permissions for Settings


Allow users to draw or insert their signature to sign off on a form with the Signature component. Make the Signature required to ensure the appropriate user verifies their completion of a form.

Adding the Signature Component

To use Signature, start by clicking the pencil edit icon of the field you would like to edit.

On the left-hand menu bar, you will find the Signature options.

Here you find the options:

  • Required - Use this option to make the Signature required before exiting

  • Title-based Visibility - Make the component visible to specific users based on their user titles

  • Show Date - Enable this option for a date field that users manually enter the date signed

  • Display Timestamp - Display the exact time, date, and location to know when and where the user Signed off on the form

    • Signatures can have a Timestamp component enabled to show the exact time and user ID of the signee

    • When the user has their location settings on, the Timestamp component will also display the user's coordinates
