Use the add from existing option to save time when duplicating punch items

Permissions

Always remember to ensure the correct people have the appropriate permissions to access your company and project data. This can be done per individual or by applying Permission Templates.

In order to add punch items, users will need Create permissions for Punch List


Generate Punch List items with the "Add From Existing" button to create a new Item by duplicating and modifying an existing Punch Item. This will save time if you need to create similar items with slight variations. Instead of starting from scratch, you can use an existing item as a template and make the necessary adjustments.

Add Punch Items From Existing

  1. To start, navigate to the Project's Punch Item module

  2. Click on the Actions button. and select the Add From Existing option

  3. A page will pop up asking you to Choose Punch Item. It will suggest the last five Punch Items created for that job. If you're looking for a different one, you can search for it

  4. Click Copy to duplicate the item

  5. Make any necessary changes on the copied page

  6. Click Save to create a new Punch Item
