Getting Started

In the "Appointments" tab of the Dispatch module, similar to the other tabs like People, Project, and Schedule, you can add an appointment. Here, you'll find the Current Date Section, Calendar Functionality, and Date Range Display. The key difference is that this tab is split into two tables.

On the left table, you'll see a summary of appointments for the chosen date range. Meanwhile, the right table provides detailed information on the selected appointment. If there's no selected appointment, this space will display the "Add Appointment" button along with a message prompting you to create an appointment to begin working with the schedule.

Adding appointments

When you're making a new appointment in the "Appointments" tab, there are two simple ways to do it.

  1. Locate the symbol marked with a "+" on the left table and click it. This action will display the "Add Appointment" page on the right side of the table.

    OR

  2. On the right table, if there is no appointment selected, you will see the "Add Appointment" button. Click on this button, and the right-side table will transition to the "Add Appointment" page.

Next steps:

In both cases, a window will appear where you can fill in the Date Range (for multi-day appointments), Start Time, and End Time.

  • Description: Describe the appointment you are wanting to add

  • Job/Area: Choose the relevant project for the appointment.

  • Attach People: Add the people you want attached to this appointment. A handy “Search by user name” is available if you have an extensive list of users.

  • Attach Task Lists: Add any task lists that might be relevant to your appointment. Use the "Search by name" feature to help locate your tasks

  • Attach Tools: Include tools in the appointment. Use the "Search by tool name" to help in your search. Please note that attaching a tool to the appointment does not automatically assign the tool to the project.

Finally, don't forget to click the "Save" button to ensure your appointment is recorded.
