If you manually add users to a project and create an appointment in Dispatch (Scheduler), those users shouldn't be removed from the project when the appointment ends. They should stay assigned to the project.
However, if you create an appointment in Dispatch (Scheduler) and it is the system that adds a user to the project, that user will automatically be removed from the project 5 days after the appointment ends.
