Thanks to your feedback, we're introducing a major improvement to our user and contact management systems. Now, you can capture all phone numbers by associating multiple numbers and various types (mobile, work, home, other) with an individual.
Key Impact - Primary Phone Number
Due to SiteMax's flexibility to access part of our system and external flows via phone 'log-in,' all users and contacts must have a unique primary phone number to interact.
What is a Primary Number?
It is the unique mobile phone number that belongs to the person only and will be required to receive validation codes during the authentication process when using QR Siteflow, Notices, and Forms.
With the new changes, you can now designate a contact's primary number by selecting the star icon.
Any phone number that is not marked with the primary star icon will be considered a secondary number. Create secondary numbers (such as office numbers) that can be shared across users, contacts, and companies.
What to expect, potential conflicts
On Wednesday, July 3, your users and contacts will have the primary number defaulted to their mobile phone number or the only available phone number.
When updating or creating a contact or user, a primary number will now be required before saving. If that phone number is already designated as primary for another person, an error will occur.
How to prepare
To prepare for this update, we recommend reviewing your users' and contacts' phone numbers to ensure they have a number saved in the mobile field. Confirm that the phone number in the mobile field is the contact's preferred or primary contact number.
Make sure to contact your administrator or reach out to your team to ensure your contact and user lists are kept up-to-date with relevant information.
