Web v3.8.141

📣 New Features and Improvements 📣

Photo Downscaling in Form PDFs

We have introduced a new Form Setting that addresses issues with high-resolution photos in form PDFs.

Currently, all photos in the form of PDFs are rendered at full size, which can cause issues where a small number of high-resolution photos may cause the PDF to fail. With this new setting, you can now downscale all photos in the PDF, allowing for an increased number of supported images on a per-form basis.

To ensure your forms are using these features, simply:

  1. Navigate to Settings > Modules > Forms > Form Settings

  2. Under Form Options, check the box for the option “Downscale photos on PDF”

Image Rotation and Saving in Punch List

We have introduced a new functionality for users with permission to upload and mark images in the Punch List. Users can now rotate and save images directly within the Punch List.

This enhancement allows for better adjustment of pictures, ensuring that rotated images are correctly displayed in the Punch List report and any other module that utilizes PDFTron lite mode.

🛠️ Bug Fixes 🛠️

This release addressed minor bugs and made backend improvements. Key fixes include:

  1. Fixed the issue where the final response for submittals was not displaying upon close.

  2. Resolved the problem with permission templates not applying correctly to user profiles.

Calculate Custom Fields with Decimals

You can now calculate and report time with decimal points in your time reports. We have introduced the ability to sum decimal custom fields, enhancing our recent feature that supports decimal points in custom fields.

To enable decimal summing, go to the Time Reports Edit option and scroll to the Columns section of your report. Find your custom field and click the Show Total and Show eye icon to display the decimal sums for that field.

Data Added to Material CSV Export

To enhance the detail of our Material exports, we have added four new columns to the report. These additional columns from the material module are:

  • Classification Name

  • Cost-Code Code

  • Cost-Code Name

  • Description

This update provides a more comprehensive view of the materials, ensuring you have all the necessary information in your CSVs.

Note: The import file for Materials will have a different CSV template.

Bulk Edit for Material Logs

Bulk Edit is now available for Material Logs! This feature lets you edit multiple Material entries simultaneously, including classifications, quantities, values, and more!

Navigate to your Project's Material Logs tab. Click on the Actions button and select "Bulk Edit". You will receive a pop-up with the option to bulk edit log details.

Note: Users need Materials - Edit permissions to access this feature

This release focused on resolving minor bugs and making UI improvements. Key fixes include:

  1. Restoring the missing +Add Contact button in the Team module.

  2. Fixing an issue with submittals to ensure that cover pages and markup changes save correctly.

📣 New Features and Improvements 📣

Disable Save and Save & Email

We can now disable the Save/Save & Email buttons on forms. When this option is enabled, these buttons will no longer be visible to users, allowing you to highlight the Submit and Save buttons to simplify your workflows without distracting the user with too many options.

Improved Drawing Pins for Punch List, RFIs, and Tasks

Looking to link drawings to your Punch Items, Tasks, or RFIs? We've enhanced our drawing pins on mobile, making it easier to connect them with your project modules.

Now, you can direct users within a drawing to specific Punch Items, corrective actions or Tasks for that location, as well as reference RFIs tied to particular areas of the drawing.

Add pins to your Drawings on the Web so users can easily access these items directly within the drawing. Drawing pins enable your users to view and manage Punch Items, Tasks, and RFIs without ever leaving the drawing!

🛠️ Bug Fixes 🛠️

We've recently integrated PDFTron into our documents and attachments across modules, making it easier to annotate, search, and share files directly from the SiteMax app. With this upgrade, all photos in the Punch List can now be marked up!

  1. We've fixed the issue that caused the app to freeze when opening image attachments in a Punch Item and resolved problems with larger document files not loading properly with PDFTron.

📣 New Features and Improvements 📣

Schedule Time Center Reports

Our new automated Reports feature can now streamline the reporting and distribution of time center reports. This feature allows you to schedule time reports to be sent to any group of SiteMax users at specific times.

Select recipients from the dropdown list, then set the cadence for sending the reports. You can choose a weekly or monthly schedule and specify the day of the week for distribution. Alternatively, you can opt to distribute the report at the end of a pay period.

To set the distribution for your Time Center reports:

  1. Navigate to Time Center > Reports

  2. Click on the report's Settings

  3. Click on the Distribution tab

  4. Here you can set the Distribution Status to Active

  5. Select the Cadence and Users (recipients) for the distribution

  6. Click on Save when done

Now your User will receive the PDF export of the report according to the specified schedule.

Note: To receive the PDF distribution, users must have any Time Center permissions

Disable Save and Save & Email Function

Thanks to your feedback we introduced a new feature to our Form Builder! We’ve added a new Form Component, the Save button. This Save button can be used to override the native Save and Save & Email function. Add this button to your Form when editing or creating a new form in the Form Builder.

Customize the button with a different color or label, or enable Title-based visibility to only allow certain users to Save changes to the form.

Once the Save button has been added to the form, you will be able to disable the native Save and Save & Email function.

In your Form Settings, you will find the option to disable the save button. Check the box and save to remove the Save function from the form.

Now you can use your Submit component and associated workflows without confusing your users.

Enhance your workflows with other new Form features that are available to use today!

Note: The Save component does not trigger emails to your email distribution list. For email distribution to work when the Disable default Save buttons are disabled, users will need to use the Submit component.

Team Tab Moved to the Contacts Module

Looking for the Team tab in Project Settings? It has been moved to the Contacts module for easier management of your people and contacts, keeping everything in one place.

Here, you can add Users to the project and manage your team.

New Load Button in Time Center Reports

We added a new Load Button function to avoid unnecessary waiting time for users when loading a Time Report. Now, after selecting a template, users must click this button to load the report.

When updating the report details, be sure to load the latest version for the most accurate information. You will need to click Load Report to see the reflected changes.


🛠️ Bug Fixes 🛠️

  1. We resolved an issue with the Restore option in User Profiles. Now clicking Restore will revert a user’s permissions to their previously assigned settings.
