This article reviews the List and Board views in our new Schedule module. Use this guide to navigate the new features and optimize your task and project management.
List View
The Schedule module offers a List view for both Items and Tasks, providing a detailed, customizable view of your project. The List view allows you to add or remove columns, making it easier to process and display the information you need.
Click on List, then select either Schedule Items or Tasks to switch between the two in the list format.
You can view Tasks or Items in this view by project using the search bar to select the project. For an even larger view, click "Full Screen".
Customize your view by adding or removing columns to display exactly the details you need. Click the Columns button, then choose the columns you want to include or exclude from your List view.
Use the Edit icon in the Action column, or simply click on an item or task name, to quickly modify and manage your entries—all from one convenient view.
Filters for Items and Tasks
Searching and filtering is simple—filter by Project, item or task names, dates, owners, and more. Click on "+Add Filter" and choose from the available options. You'll then be prompted to enter a filter value. Options include:
"Is" / "Is Not": For an exact match.
"Starts With" / "Ends With": For matching ranges.
"Contains": To find any instance of the value.
"Contains Exact Word": To match a specific word.
"Does Not Contain": To exclude items with the word.
"Is Unknown": For items without a value.
"Has Any Value": To display all items with any value in the field.
For example, if you want to filter for Tasks related to client interactions, you might select "Contains" and enter "client" to capture tasks like "final client approval" or "client walkthrough."
Note: The 'Is' and 'Is not' filters are case-sensitive. For example, a filter like 'Name is "john doe"' won’t match a user named 'John Doe'. However, 'Name contains "john doe"' will match regardless of case.
Additionally, the 'Contains' filter will match the keyword even if it's part of a larger word. For example, 'Contains post' could match 'posted', 'poster', or 'posting', whereas 'Contains exact word' requires the keyword to appear on its own.
Board View
The Board view is built as a Kanban board to help your team visualize, update, and manage Tasks effortlessly. It organizes Tasks from all projects—or a specific one—by their status. The Board view manages only Tasks, displaying them as Task Cards that include their parent item and project details.
You can view Tasks by project using the search bar to select the project. For an even larger view, click "Full Screen".
The board columns are organized as follows:
Backlog: Tasks without a status.
To Do: Tasks marked as Pending or On Hold.
In Progress: Tasks that are currently In Progress or Overdue.
Done: Tasks that have been Completed or Cancelled.
Each column contains Task Cards that display the associated Item, Task Owner, Project, Date and Start Time, and Priority. You can quickly update a Task's status by dragging its card into a different column. For example, dropping a task into the "In Progress" section will update its status accordingly.
Additionally, you can create new Tasks directly from this view, making it easy to manage your workflow using the Kanban methodology.
