Permissions

Always remember to ensure the correct people have the appropriate permissions to access your company and project data. This can be done per individual or by applying Permission Templates.

In order to add photos directly into SIteMax, users will need Create permissions for Photos

In order to Add Photos through a form, users will need Create or Edit permissions for the appropriate/corresponding form

Photos are a great tool for providing documentation. You can show site progress, incidents, near misses quickly and easily using photos. In SiteMax, there are a variety of ways to add Photos to your project.

Through Your Project's Dayview

You can add your photos right into the Day View of your project easily with the Day View actions.

  1. Open your Project's Day View (this is the default Project Dashboard when a project is selected

  2. Locate and hover your mouse over the Photos section to bring up and click on the "+" icon

  3. A new pop up screen will open to allow you to select from the photos in your computer

  4. Click "Browse" to open your computer's drive and select your photos

  5. Once selected, click "Upload" to upload your photos to the Day View

Through the Photos Module

Adding photos through the Photos module allows you to arrange your photos into collections for easier management.

  1. After opening your selected project, click on the Photos module

  2. In the Photos module, select "+ Add Photos"

  3. From here, if you wish, you can choose a Collection to which you can add your photos.

  4. Once you've selected your Collection, you will have the option to browse your computer drive or select from existing photos within that collection

  5. After selecting the photos you wish to upload, you'll be able to add any descriptions you need to each one.

Note: Use the "Add description to all" feature if the descriptions for the photos are the same.

Through Forms (ie; Site/Safety/Equipment/Company Reports)

Because adding photos requires Full User permissions (Collaborators and Lite Users cannot upload Photos directly into SiteMax), using forms to add photos provides a great option to those users who do not have the appropriate Photos permissions.

  1. To start, make sure your form has incorporated the "Photo Upload" component

  2. While Creating or Editing the form, click on the "Add Photos" button

  3. Your computer's drive will open, allowing you to select your photos.

  4. Once selected, your photos will now appear in the form

  5. Complete the form and Save

Note: Depending on the settings selected for the Photo Upload component, the photos added to your form may or may not be added to your Project's Photos module. This is something that requires setting within the Form Builder.
