Permissions
Always remember to ensure the correct people have the appropriate permissions to access your company and project data. This can be done per individual or by applying Permission Templates.
In order to apply permissions, users will need Manage permissions for Users
What are Permissions?
Permissions are what allows users to access various areas of the SiteMax app. Managing Permissions allows you to grant or restrict access to your team based on yours and their requirements.
Understanding Tiers and Permissions
Our Permissions are set up by Tiers, and we have implemented color coding to make it easy to understand, which tiers have which access.
Collaborator (Free User): Identified by a light shade of grey.
Lite User: Recognizable through a light shade of yellow.
User: Now distinguished by a light shade of blue.
Note: If you assign a permission for a user whose tier is lower than the permission you've checked, Sitemax will automatically attempt to assign that tier to the user.
(For example, if John is a Collaborator (grey permissions), but you check a permission that is designated for Lite Users (yellow permissions), John will become a Lite User in your system - provided there are available seats)
When Permissions have been checked, the icon will be shaded, indicating that they have been assigned. Unshaded icons indicate permissions that have not been assigned.
Managing Permissions
You can manage your team's permissions from either the Users, Permissions, or Groups tabs of the Team module.
You can apply permissions individually or in bulk
Individual User - Applying Permissions
Individual User - Applying Permissions
There are two ways to apply permissions to individuals:
1. By selecting the pre-assigned permission template
Change the permissions of a single user in their profile through a pre-assigned permission template by clicking on the user's name. The user's profile screen will pop up, and you can then go to the "permissions template" dropdown menu and select the template you want for that user.
Note: Permissions templates are the ideal way to manage multiple users. It allows you to update one template that will then apply to all assigned to that template.
2. By manually selecting permissions
If, for any reason, you would like to manually modify a specific permission of a user, simply click on the user's name, to bring up their profile screen. Navigate to the "Permissions" tab, where you can change or add specific permissions for that user.

1. Through Permission Template from the "Bulk Edit"

2. By Selecting the "Groups" tab
Change the permissions of a crew by Selecting the Crew. When the Crew Details modal appears, click the Actions menu, then Apply Permissions to Crew.
3. By Selecting the "Permissions" tab
Change the permissions of multiple users by navigating to the "Permissions" tab. On the "Permissions" page, you'll find a list of templates. Choose the desired permission template and click the "Apply to Users" button. A new page will appear, allowing you to add users to the selected template using "Name," "Tag," or "Title."
NOTE: “Your system administrator decides on the permissions and access that are given to you. The team can assist in understanding functionalities and behavior but cannot grant access on the system administrator's behalf to individual users.”
