What are Punch Lists?
A punch list is a checklist of unfinished work, defects, or corrections that need to be completed before a construction project is considered finished. It is typically created during the final walkthrough of a project and includes items that don't meet the project specifications, quality standards, or client expectations.
Examples of punch list items include:
Touching up paint or drywall repairs.
Fixing damaged flooring or trim.
Replacing broken fixtures or hardware.
The Punch List module in SiteMax allows you to create individual Punch List Items to then create a Punch List for your teams.

Copying Punch List Items
Copying Punch List Items
Creating a new Punch Item for every issue or deficiency can be daunting, so we have designed a couple of workflows to make this easier for you! Duplicate to Trade and Add From Existing are two actions that you can use that will prevent you from having to create an entirely new Punch Item each time, especially when the details are similar.
Duplicate to Trade
Duplicate to Trade
Use the Duplicate to Trade feature when you have a Punch Item with the same issue/deficiency but want to send it to a different trade.
Select an already complete Punch Item or during the creation of a new one
Select "Duplicate to Trade" and choose the new trade company to assign your copied Punch Item to.
All of the details (excluding drawings) will be carried over to the new Punch Item
Add from Existing
Add from Existing
Using the Add from Existing feature allows you to make whatever adjustments necessary to a copied Punch Item.
From your project's Punch List page, click on the Actions dropdown
Select "Add From Existing"
3. A new pop up will open allowing you to select from a dropdown of your Punch Items. Select the Punch Item you wish to copy and click on "Copy"
4. Your selected Punch Item copy will appear and you can make any edits you wish.
Note: When using the Duplicate to Trade and/or Add From Existing functions, any drawings originally included will not carry over to the copied Punch Item.
Any and all attachments added to the original Punch Item, however, will carry over.
