Permissions
Always remember to ensure the correct people have the appropriate permissions to access your company and project data. This can be done per individual or by applying Permission Templates.
In order to set up Geotracking Groups and manage, users will need Edit permissions for Company Settings
What is Geotracking?
Geotracking is a system that works with your phone's geolocation and allows you to determine the location of your team when consent has been granted.
Note; Geotracking is an add-on feature and will need to be enabled for your system. Please reach out to your CSM for details.
Setting up Geotracking
Setting up Geotracking on the desktop app is quick and easy.
In your Company Settings, open the Geotracking tab under Modules, and move the slider at the top to enable your Geotracking.
Make any necessary adjustments and updates to your Default Legal Notice.

You can create multiple Geotracking Groups for different users. This allows you to manage specific settings depending on your needs.
Scroll down to view your Geotracking Groups, and click "Add Geotracking Group" to create a new group
Here, you can set up your Geotracking Group. Be sure to enable Geotracking for your group
Name - the name you give your group
Track by Checkin/Checkout - Allow your users to automatically activate their geotracking upon Checking In, and deactivate upon Checking Out.
Start Time/End Time - If Track by Checkin/Checkout is not enabled, you can set the hours you want your geotracking to be active (no tracking will occur outside these hours)
Tracking Threshold (meters) - How far your users can move before a new location is recorded (note; the lower the threshold, the more battery power your phone will use)
Data Retention (days) - How many days you want your location data stored
Enter a unique Legal Notice for your group, or move the slider to use the Default Notice provided on the main page
Click "Save" to save your new group

Once your Geotracking Group has been created, it's time to add users to it.
Click on your selected Group and open the Users tab
Under your Actions menu, select "Add Users"
Here, you can search and select by User, Title, Tags, or Crews
Once selected, you can click "Add All" to add all users in the list or individual users by clicking the "+" symbol beside the user's name
Click "Add" to save your users in your group
Note; Your users will receive a notice requesting consent to geotracking in their mobile app. Only users signed into the app with consent given will show their locations

Once the users in your Geotracking Groups have been established, and they have provided consent in their mobile app, you can view their geolocation within the group.

You can view the geotracking locations of your team directly in the Group you have created in Company Settings > Modules > Geotracking
Open your selected group and click the "Geotracking" button in the bottom left corner (in either the Settings or Users tab)
In your Geotracking screen, you can select the user and view their location in a map. Click the arrows to control your map view.

You can also view the team's geotracking locations within your Project's Timecards module.
Click on the Geotracking tab and immediately, the map will appear with your added checked in users listed.
You can view by Project Assignment, meaning you'll be able to see all users who have checked into the project appear
Or by Time, meaning you can choose to see the location of just the person you select

If you just want to keep track of one user, you can click the Geotracking button in their profile. Go to: Dashboard > Team > Selected User
Locate and select the user you want to bring up their profile
Scroll down to the Geotracking button in their profile
A new screen with the geotracking map will appear where you can zoom in and out
