How to prevent users from changing time entries?

Disable users from changing their time entry

To prevent any unwanted changes to time entries, we recommend the following steps:

  1. Disable Editing Options for Check-in/Check-out

    1. Navigate to the "Company Settings" section.

    2. Go to the "Modules" tab and select "Time."

    3. In the "General Settings," locate "Check-in Time (mobile)" and "Check-out Time (mobile)."

    4. Choose the "Hidden" option.

  2. Disable Manual Time Entry:

    1. Access the user permissions settings.

    2. Locate the permission labeled "Time Entries (self)."

    3. Unselect the "Edit" permission (represented by a pencil icon) for this setting.

These steps will prevent any unauthorized changes to time entries and help maintain accurate time data within the system.
